Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Inkspire collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, with particular care for children and families.

Last updated: 14 August 2026.

1. Who we are

Inkspire is operated by Le Learning Pty Ltd (ACN 604 730 038), Victoria, Australia. Our business address is 11/461 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Privacy enquiries can be sent to inkspireaiwriting@gmail.com.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Inkspire website, accounts, educational services and any future Inkspire mobile application that links to this policy. Inkspire is currently intended for students in Years 1–9, with accounts created or authorised by a parent or guardian.

3. Information we collect

We may collect the student's name and year level; parent or guardian name and email; student essays, stories, plans and other writing; AI-generated feedback, scores, corrections and learning suggestions; writing history and progress; reward-card collections and achievements; subscription and transaction records; and technical/security information such as device, browser, IP address and logs where generated by the service or its providers.

Inkspire does not currently require a student date of birth, student email address or school name as part of the student profile.

4. Why we use information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide writing activities and personalised feedback, save work and progress, provide parent-facing progress information, operate rewards, administer subscriptions, provide support, protect the service, comply with legal obligations and improve Inkspire's functionality and educational experience.

5. Children, parents and guardians

Inkspire is built for children and families. Parent or guardian involvement is required for account creation or authorisation. Parents may view their child's essays, AI feedback, scores, progress and reward information through available features. We aim to collect only information reasonably needed to provide the service and to handle children's information with their best interests in mind.

6. Artificial intelligence and student writing

Inkspire uses artificial intelligence to analyse student writing and provide educational feedback, including suggestions about ideas, structure, vocabulary, sentence fluency, spelling and grammar.

Le Learning Pty Ltd does not use children's submitted essays to train Inkspire's own general-purpose AI model. Student writing may be processed by technology providers as necessary to generate requested feedback and operate the service.

AI feedback may contain errors and is educational support rather than an official school, NAPLAN, ICAS or selective-school assessment result.

7. Service providers

We use service providers to operate Inkspire, including providers of database and authentication services, hosting, artificial intelligence, payments, security and communications. Our current technology stack may include Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI and Stripe. These providers may process information as needed to provide their services and under their applicable terms and privacy practices.

8. Payments

Subscription payments may be processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. Inkspire does not need to store complete payment-card numbers in its own application database when payment credentials are handled by the payment provider. We may retain subscription status, transaction references and billing records needed to administer the account.

9. Overseas processing

Some service providers used by Inkspire may store or process information outside Australia. Processing locations can depend on the provider, product configuration and infrastructure used. Where Australian privacy law requires it, we will take reasonable steps in relation to overseas handling and update this policy as our production infrastructure and processing locations are finalised.

10. Advertising and sale of information

Inkspire does not sell students' or parents' personal information. We do not use children's personal information or submitted essays for targeted advertising.

11. Authorised staff access

Authorised Inkspire personnel may access student information when reasonably necessary for customer support, safety, security, technical troubleshooting, legal compliance or legitimate service improvement. Access should be limited to people who need it for those purposes.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, which may include authenticated accounts, access controls, database security policies and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

13. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Inkspire, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. A parent or guardian may request deletion of their child's account and associated personal information. We may retain information where required or permitted by law or reasonably necessary for legal, security or accounting purposes.

14. Access and correction

Parents or guardians may contact us to request access to or correction of personal information associated with their account or child, subject to applicable law and appropriate identity verification.

15. Cookies and local storage

Inkspire may use cookies, browser local storage and similar technologies to maintain login sessions, remember preferences, support application features, maintain security and improve the service.

16. Privacy complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact inkspireaiwriting@gmail.com. Please provide enough information for us to investigate. We will respond within a reasonable period. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Inkspire develops, our providers or practices change, or legal requirements change. The current version and last-updated date will be published here. We will provide additional notice where required for material changes.
